Invisible Wood Floor Finish.
SKYLT is a two component polyurethane finish, that, although almost invisible, offers excellent resistance against
heavy wear and tear, household chemicals, scuff marks from shoes and (micro) scratches.
With a gloss of less than 5 gloss units SKYLT is just as matte as unfinished, sanded wood. And while SKYLT has a slight bleaching effect too, the color of the wood also hardly changes.
Therefore a wood floor finished with SKYLT appears to be untreated and has a genuine "natural look".

Gloss: 4 gloss units at 60°; 5 gloss units at 85°.

how durable is skylt?
A balanced formulation of a durable and wear risistant floor varnish requires a broad expierience in formulating and testing recepies. Rigo Special Coatings has that experience like no other.
Since 1978 Rigo varnishes and lacquers were applied on millions of square meters wordwide.
In our own Research & Develonment Laboratory we constantly test the abrasion resistance of our floor varnishes and floor lacquers. We use a standardized Taber Abraser and test in accordance with SIS 923509, also known as the Falling Sand method, as only this testing method gives realistic values.
Though invisible, SKYLT is extremely durable!

Sometimes manufacturers supply SIS 923509 values at 100 or 1000 revelations. In that case some multiplying is needed to compare the values.
BEWARE: Values from Taber CS-10 or Taber CS-17 test methods cannot be compared with SIS 923509 values.
Comparison with products of other manufacturers learns that RigoStep varnishes and lacquers are among the most durable and wear resistant in the world!
